8 Most Dangerous Tourist Attractions In The World

Traveling is extremely fun, and one of the most fulfilling things that a person can do. Now, how you like to travel is entirely a matter of personal choice (and the availability of finances). While some like to rough it in hostels and live off a backpack, others prefer the luxury route, being able to enjoy the finest food and the best hotels.

And then there are those that we like to call “daredevils”. These people jump at the chance to experience something exciting and new and are the first in line to try things that others would deem too dangerous.

Are you one of those people? If no, would you at least like to live vicariously through these brave souls? If you answered yes to either of those questions, then this list is exactly the thing you need! Here are the 8 most dangerous tourist attractions in the world:

1. El Caminito del Ray, Spain

Fancy going for a walk? We can guarantee that this 3-kilometer walk along the steep walls above the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes gorge in El Chorro, Spain, is nothing like any walk you’ve ever been on before. Dubbed “the world’s most terrifying walkway”, this path was even shut down for 14 years due to numerous deaths. But it’s been opened back up recently, so experience it if you dare!

2. Jacob’s Well, USA

Situated in Hay’s County in Texas, about an hour away from Austin is Jacob’s Well, a spring of cold water. This is one of the most popular spots for Texans and foreigners alike to come to cool down during the blazing hot summers of Texas.

Even though the gorgeous well has refreshingly cool water, it is also pretty dangerous. With a depth of more than 100 ft, it has taken the lives of around 6-8 daredevil divers so far. The draw is that the deeper it gets, the more fascinating it is with caves and rocks. But it is these that cause the most danger as well.
