Instant noodles are one of the most popular dishes that is eaten all around the world. It is the ally of a broke college student’s sustenance and the savior to a late night craving. But, as we know, it isn’t the healthiest thing around. Not to mention, the same old flavors can get a bit boring after some time.

1. Make It Veggie
This one seems like a no-brainer, but one of the best ways to jazz up your instant noodles is to add some veges into the mix. You can basically add anything you’ve got in the fridge. From things like spinach and cabbage, to onions, peas, carrots, and peppers. Depending on what you choose, you may have to saute it in the beginning, or you can just throw it all into the boiling water.
You know what, just pick up a bag of frozen vegetables when you buy instant noodles. Job done!
2. Make It Eggy
One way to upgrade your instant noodles and add a bit of nutrition to your meal is by pairing it with a couple eggs. Any authentic ramen dish comes with a hard boiled egg sliced in half. And even though authenticity isn’t exactly what we’re going for, it sure does look pretty. Alternatively, you could poach, fry or even scramble an egg to add to your noodles!
3. Make It Saucy
Got some leftover past sauce in the pantry? Try replacing the flavored powder with it to make an awesome Asian-Western hybrid! Instant noodles are basically just the Asian version of Pasta, so many flavors that go well in pasta work with ramen too. You could try adding some leftover chilli or even cheese sauce. Yum!
