10 Foods You Should Never Put in the Freezer

Fruits that are made up mostly of water, just like vegetables of similar properties do not react well to being frozen. Fruits like watermelons, cantaloupes, and grapes, will become softer when they are stored in the freezer and might feel dry and rubbery once thawed.
Foods Already Frozen and Thawed
When you freeze food, especially meat, certain microorganism live on in low temperatures. In fact, they thrive in the cold, and when you defrost it, they come to life. If food is frozen and thawed once, and then frozen and thawed again, the chances of higher amounts of bacteria being present in your food are pretty substantial.
Hot Food
Putting hot food into the freezer is a rookie mistake! Not only does it harm your refrigerator, it also will cause a temporary increase of the temperature inside your freezer, which is enough of an interval for bacteria to start growing on all the foods in there. So, exercise a little patience when it comes to chucking your leftovers in the fridge or freezer and wait until they have completely cooled down.
Improperly Packaged Foods
Freezer burn, although sounds painful, isn’t something that occurs to our body, but to the food that we put in there without covering it properly. The taste and smell may be dulled and affected by the freezer, and the texture and color will also have been altered. Not very appealing, if you ask me!
