8 Cancer Causing Drinks You Need to Avoid

7. Juice & Juice Drinks

While fruit juices are often seen as a much healthier alternative to sodas and energy drinks (and let’s be clear, they are), they’re still not good enough for regular consumption. It’s not false that you can get vitamins and minerals of the fruit in a glass of juice, but you are also missing out on one of the most important elements of fruit – fiber.

It’s the fiber that makes you feel full, so you may end up consuming more. Furthermore, the fiber keeps the naturally-present sugar in fruits from entering your blood all at once, so drinking juices often may cause a spike in your blood sugar. This is probably the reason that regular consumption of fruit juices have been linked to an increased risk of rectal cancer.
