This is because commercially-produced juices and smoothies are padded with fat and sugar and other additives designed to make it taste better and last longer.
The best way to enjoy fruit is to eat it as is, but if you would like to have it in beverage-form once in a while, making it at home is always better. And try to make smoothies, rather than juices, as they still contain at least some of the fiber content (even if it is broken down).
