8 Most Dangerous Tourist Attractions In The World

3. Praia De Boa Viagem, Brazil

This tourist spot in Brazil seems like the ultimate relaxing getaway with picture-perfect sunsets, gorgeous blue waters, white sandy beaches and a lively nightlife. But there’s one thing visitors don’t sign up for – and that’s getting to swim with sharks, literally!

That’s right, these peaceful-looking azure waters are infested with bull sharks and tiger sharks, which are known to prefer shallow waters. There have been as many as 56 shark attacks on the beach since 1992 to 2012, and most of them have resulted in death. Even though there are lifeguards patrolling the beaches, as well as restricted areas, there’s not much one can do if someone were to get close to a shark!

4. Mount Hua Shan, China

Mount Hua of China’s Shaanxi district is one of the Five Great Mountains of China, and has one of the world’s most terrifying hiking trails ever. The hike along this picturesque mountain includes steep staircases, vertical inclines, and a slender plank trail along the side of the mountain which has no railing (a line of dangling chains is there for hikers to grab on to)! While most people look at a description of the path and what it entails and just say “nope”, many brave souls still undertake the journey.
